What's Sunday Like?

Whether you've never set foot in a Reformed church or you're a seasoned Christian — here's what to expect when you worship with us on the Lord's Day.

The Pattern of Worship

Ordered by Scripture. Shaped by history.

Our Lord's Day worship follows the historic pattern of Christian liturgy — not because tradition is infallible, but because this pattern reflects the shape of the gospel itself: God calls, we confess, He forgives, we hear, He feeds us, and He sends us out.

You will not find entertainment, light shows, or a performance. You will find the Word of God preached with conviction, the Table of Christ spread with welcome, and a covenant people gathered before their King.

Most services run approximately 90 minutes. Dress is business casual — come as you are, but know that many in our congregation dress to honor the occasion of standing before the King.

01
Call to Worship
God summons His people into His presence. Worship is not something we initiate — it is a response to God's prior call. We are welcomed before the throne.
02
Psalm-Singing & Hymns
We sing the Psalms — the God-breathed hymnbook of the church. We also sing from the historic Reformed hymnody alongside them.
03
Corporate Confession of Sin
We confess our sins together before God — not as a formality, but as an act of honest covenant reckoning with the Holy One we serve.
04
Assurance of Pardon
The minister declares God's forgiveness to the congregation from Scripture. The gospel is announced — not assumed.
05
Scripture Reading & Sermon
The Word of God is read and expounded. Our preaching is expository — working through books of the Bible to open the whole counsel of God.
06
The Lord's Supper
We celebrate the Lord's Supper every Lord's Day. Baptized, professing members come to the Table of the King.
07
Benediction
God sends His people out into the world with His blessing — commissioned as ambassadors of the Kingdom to every corner of life.

What to expect when you arrive

A warm welcome
Greeters will meet you at the door. You'll receive a bulletin with the order of service. Don't hesitate to introduce yourself — we love meeting people and would be glad to sit with you if you prefer company.
A bulletin to follow along
The liturgy is printed so you can participate fully. Responsive readings, confessions, and the Hymn references. You'll be fine.
Children at worship
Children worship with their families. We believe children belong in the assembly of God's people — not sequestered in a separate room. Expect to keep your children of all ages with you during the service.
The Lord's Supper
We fence the Table for baptized, professing members of our congregation and those in good standing with a Reformed or evangelical church. Guests are warmly invited to observe.
Fellowship afterward
After the service, we enjoy a fellowhip meal together. Come ready to eat and talk.
No performance, no show
There are no fog machines, no lighting rigs, no manufactured emotion. There is the Word of God, the Table of Christ, and the people of the King — gathered to meet with Him as He has commanded.

The Preached Word

Expository preaching through the whole Bible.

Our sermons work through books of the Bible — verse by verse, chapter by chapter — because we believe every part of Scripture has something to say to God's people in every age.

You will not find topical felt-needs preaching or motivational talks. You will find the text opened, the grammar examined, the context respected, the theology applied, and Christ proclaimed as the center of every text and the Lord of every corner of life.

Sermons run 45-60 minutes. All audio is available on our sermons page.

Common questions

Do I need to dress up?
Business casual is the norm. Many of our people dress more formally to honor the occasion. Come as you are on your first visit — you'll get a sense of it quickly, and no one will say a word.
What if I'm not Reformed?
You are still welcome. Many who now call CRF home came from very different backgrounds. We ask that you engage honestly and ask questions freely — that's what the fellowship after service is for.
Can my kids come?
Absolutely — we expect them to. Children worship with the congregation. Children are a gift and a presence in our assembly, not an inconvenience; we believe parents are called by God to worship with their children, and teach them how to worship.
Will I be singled out as a visitor?
No. We'll greet you warmly, but we won't ask you to stand up, wave, or wear a name tag. You're welcome to observe and participate at whatever level you desire.
What about the Lord's Supper?
We fence the Table for baptized, professing believers in good standing with a Reformed or evangelical church. Guests are encouraged to receive a blessing or simply observe — no pressure. We'll explain what's happening so you're not caught off guard.

Ready to join us this Lord's Day? We'd love to see you — and we're glad to answer any questions before you come.
