About · Christ Reformed Fellowship

Elders & Deacons

Christ Reformed Fellowship believes in being led by a plurality of qualified pastor-elders and served by faithful deacons — all of them under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. Because our church is young, we are still filling our offices.

Led by Scripture, not the corporate world.

We believe the local church should be governed according to the pattern given in God's Word. This means our congregation is led by a plurality of elders — men qualified for leadership by the grace of Christ and in accordance with the Apostolic requirements.

Every elder and deacon at Christ Reformed Fellowship is not merely in authority, but under it. Jesus Christ is the Chief Shepherd of this congregation — the Senior Leader to whom all of our leaders will give account.

We do not measure our leaders by worldly standards of charisma, organizational management, or cultural savvy. We measure them by the Word of God.

Acts 20:17 · Titus 1:5
The pattern of plural eldership, established in the early church by the Apostles and commanded for every rightly ordered congregation.
1 Timothy 3:1–13
The Apostolic qualifications for both elders and deacons — the standard by which all officers of the church must be measured.
1 Peter 5:1–4
"And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory." Christ is the head. Elders are undershepherds.
Hebrews 13:17
Elders give account for the souls in their care. This weight shapes how we lead — with gravity, with love, and with humility before God.

He and his wife Larissa are expecting their first child, Ariel.

Ordained Officers

Deacons

Deacons serve the practical and mercy needs of the congregation — the hands and feet of Christ's body in our community. They are men of proven character, ordained to the office of servant-lordship. Because our church is still young, we have not ordained any deacons, but are in the process of training several.

What Scripture requires of our officers

01
Above reproachAn elder must be a man of unimpeachable character — blameless in his household, his church, and his community.
02
Husband of one wifeA faithful, covenant husband — a man who leads his own household well before leading God's household.
03
Able to teachAn elder must be able to handle the Word rightly — to instruct the faithful and to refute those who contradict sound doctrine.
04
Not a recent convertMaturity in faith. A man who has been tested, formed, and proven before being placed in authority over others.
05
Well thought of by outsidersA man whose reputation outside the church reflects the dignity of the office and the honor of Christ's name.
06
Self-controlled & sober-mindedA man of disciplined mind and ordered life — not given to excess, rage, or instability in any form.
